MyFBM Announces

“Embracing You with a Circle of Blue!”

Friendship Bracelet Campaign for Juvenile Diabetes

Friendship Bracelet Campaign for Juvenile Diabetes

Throughout the last year, we have been overwhelmed by the positive response we have received from consumers. We are so

touched every time we read a product review or a Facebook post that is written with so much enthusiasm for My Friendship Bracelet Maker. MyFBM was developed with love and passion to create a quality product that would encourage creativity and friendship among its users. While we are so thankful for product sales, our ultimate joy has come from the knowledge that our product promotes a spirit of friendship at a time when it is needed most.

In 2010 during our first year in business, it became a priority for us to use My Friendship Bracelet Maker™ as a platform to encourage kids to support one another. Thus began our series of “Choose Friendship” campaigns. Last summer we launched “Red, White and Blue…Kids Serve Too!” We collected red, white and blue bracelets to deliver to kids of military families. We followed that up with “Pink and White, Kids Join the Fight!”, where we collected pink & white bracelets and delivered them to kids touched by breast cancer.

Mona Friendship Bracelet Diabetes Circle Of Blue MyFBM

Mona is an amazing 12 year old girl that is a championship dancer, gymnast and straight A student.

There are so many causes that we want to support, and the hardest part is narrowing it down to one. So many kids need encouragement and support for so many reasons. We did decide to focus on supporting kids with Juvenile Diabetes. We proudly Introduce, “Embracing you with a Circle of Blue” This is a cause we have become very familiar with, as a close family friend (Mona) was diagnosed with the disease at the age of three. As you will see in the video, Mona is an inspiration to all kids diagnosed with Diabetes. Her sugar was so high the day of her diagnosis that Doctors were amazed that

she was not in a coma. Her family decided to that they would turn that day into ”Angels Day”…a day they would celebrate each year because the angels saved her.

She has not let Diabetes hold her back from living life to the fullest. In fact, she is an amazing 12 year old girl that is a championship dancer, gymnast and straight A student. Mona knows that support, love and friendship are the most important things that help her in her life. She is working with us to collect blue and white friendship bracelets that she will personally distribute to kids at the diabetes camp this summer.

Each of the children receiving the bracelet will know that someone cared enough to take the time and make a special friendship bracelet for them.

We even created a new friendship pattern in honor of this campaign. The international symbol for diabetes is a circle of blue. Visit our workshop page for written instructions on the blue circle bracelet. Thank you for your continued support of our product, and our choose friendship mission.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month

‘Kids Join The Fight’ with friendship bracelets

Hey Friends!

I am really excited to tell you about our new idea for spreading friendship called “Pink and White, Kids Join the Fight!”Did you know that 1 in every 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime! That’s nearly 13% of all women that will at sometime face this illness : ( Well my friends and I decided that’s

Pink & White - Kids join the fight against breast cancer. Photo of girl wearing friendship bracelets.

Pink & White symbolizes hope, strength and friendship during this difficult time.

way too many and that we want to make a difference. We know that it must be so hard for kids like us when their parents and grandparents are going through this struggle, so we all got together and came up with the perfect plan!

We decided that we could make Pink and White friendship bracelets and give them to kids who are helping someone battle with breast cancer.

That way, they would know that we have their back AND they can find other kids who are going through the same battle (and wearing the pink and white bracelet) and make friends with them!

I talked to my grandpa and he liked our idea

so much, that he said he would donate $1 for every My Friendship Bracelet Maker ordered by his retailers!!!

That means when the stores sell out and order more, that’s even MORE $$ to help fight breast Cancer!!!

So this is where you come in…me and my friends are good at making friendship bracelets, but in order to help as many kids as possible we will need your help : )

Please make as many Pink and White friendship bracelets, in any pattern you like, and send them to us at PO Box 380482 Clinton Township, Michigan 48038! By using the My Friendship Bracelet Maker, or MyFBM Clip Board, you will be able to make a ton of them SO fast!! Make sure to make some for your friends and yourself too so you all can show that your part of the fight!! We are so excited to see how many Pink and White friendship bracelets we can collect and to show breast cancer that we mean business!

Thank you so>o much for your help, you’re so awesome for helping us spread friendship : )

Happy Knotting,
Lexie : )

Pink and White, Kids Join the Fight! against breast cancer with friendship bracelets

Red, White and Blue, ’cause kids serve too!

Imagine having a dad or mom or brother or sister in the military, doing an important job for our country in a faraway place. Kids in military families can feel scared, lonely and separate from other kids living “normal” lives and having “normal” worries.

My Friendship Bracelet Maker is asking kids around the country to make a Red, White and Blue friendship bracelet (any pattern) to send to a boy or girl in a military family. The MYFBM Friendship Club hopes to collect 14,000 Red, White and Blue friendship bracelets during summer 2010.

These bracelets will be distributed to kids at camps around the country that help military children and their families develop and maintain healthy and connected relationships. Download flyer in PDF.

Please mail bracelets to:

MYFBM, PO Box 380482
Clinton Twp., MI 48038

This is your chance to let someone know how much you appreciate their mom’s or dad’s service to all of us! RED, WHITE AND BLUE… ‘CUZ KIDS SERVE TOO!
