1-9/16 in. H1A ZMAX® Hurricane Tie, 18 ga. | SIM-H1AZ

Simpson Strong-Tie's H1AZ Hurricane Tie is often selected for its balance of strength and simplicity, especially in code-compliant wood framing systems subject to wind or seismic forces. The H1AZ can be installed with common nails or Simpson-approved fasteners, providing flexibility for builders working with dimensional lumber. Whether used in new construction or retrofits, it plays a quiet but essential role in maintaining structural integrity under load.

• Provides a connection between the truss or rafter and the wall of the structure that helps resist wind and seismic forces
• Designed for nominal 2x lumber
• U-shaped hurricane ties provide faster installation than using two single-sided ties
• The embossments add stiffness in crucial areas for improved performance
• Can be installed on inside or outside of wall, or both sides
