Brighton Best's 5/8 in. Plain Split-Lock Washer provides a simple mechanical locking element for applications where maintaining fastener tension is important. The washer is installed between the nut or bolt head and the mating surface, allowing its split-ring design to exert spring force as the fastener is tightened. Plain steel construction makes it compatible with a broad range of conventional carbon steel fasteners and general-purpose assemblies. Common uses include machinery, structural components, equipment mounting, fabrication, and repair work where a standard split-lock washer is appropriate. When selecting this washer, users should match its nominal size to the fastener and consider the operating environment to determine whether a coated or corrosion-resistant washer would be more suitable.
