STI's 3 in. SpecSeal® Cast-In Device Extension Kit incorporates an adjustable pin that allows the cast-in device assembly to accommodate a range of concrete thicknesses when additional extension depth is needed. The extension is designed to work with compatible SpecSeal Cast-In Firestop Devices and is part of firestop system designs tested to recognized fire-resistance standards, including ASTM E814 (UL 1479) and CAN/ULC-S115. With an 8-in. extension length and lightweight 0.3 lb unit weight, the CD301EK provides a practical solution for extending cast-in firestop devices during concrete construction and penetration firestop installation.
