It all depends on the project or task you're working on. Different construction adhesive types function better with certain materials and in different environments. Some all-purpose products can work as tile, vinyl, and wood floor adhesives, and across other applications. But specialty adhesive sprays and glues are better in other cases.
Something like contact cement is effective for creating reliable, permanent bonds between materials like glass, plastic, or laminate. It's not as effective for wood, where a proper adhesive designed for wood provides the best connection. Many drywall adhesives fill gaps in substrates, delivering a more solid bonding surface and aiding sound dampening. VOC compliance, durability and moisture-resistance are also important factors for a quality, long-lasting finish.
Adhesive spray may be more effective for your task than alternatives like epoxy adhesive. Adhesion spray can support temporary positioning and permanent bonding, depending on the use. Spray patterns also deliver even coverage and control to minimize overspray. But adhesive epoxy often performs better in extreme conditions—of temperature or environmental—and can deliver high-performance bonding while filling gaps in wood and other materials.
